SWEET & SIMPLE

The Wedding of Jerymiahna Moore & Isaiah Purnell

Officiated by Reverend A. Childress at Over the Rockies in Cheyenne, Wyoming on August 22nd, 2020. Witnessed by Ashlie Childress and Kyaira Gordish.

ABOUT THIS WEDDING

"This was a true love story~ This couple shared their first meeting and the years in between. Yes they're young, but story is just the beginning for them both~ They met as young children and went to a daycare together~ Later again they met in grade school (kindergarten) and remained friends for many many years~ At the age of 15, they started dating~ They have been through so many ups and downs already through their lives and they've stayed by each others sides since they first met~ From best of friends through school to best of friends and partners for life~ Both have been part of our great military service in the Air Force~ The groom is no longer serving, but his new beautiful wife is currently serving~ They decided to finally commit their relationship further by marriage~ Although short notice, this all came together beautifully and the couple couldn't be happier~ I was so very honored to be able to share in their story and their celebration~ They shared with some of their closest friends from the Military base they reside at and ended a beautiful occasion with a Unity Candle ceremony~ Such a sweet bride and her groom is just an amazing young man~ I wish them the very best in their future and lives together~ "

Jerymiahna Moore And Isaiah Purnell’s Wedding Wedding Ceremony Script

(Wedding Party Procession)

*PLEASE RISE*

We are gathered together on this day to witness and celebrate the marriage of Jerymiahna Moore & Isaiah Pernell. We come together not to mark the start of a relationship, but to acknowledge and strengthen a bond that already exists.

Jerymiahna and Isaiah,

This day is made possible not only because of your love for each other, but through the grace and support of your family and friends. It is our hope that your fulfillment and joy in each other will increase with each passing year.

Marriage is a commitment in life, where two people can find and bring out the very best in each other. It offers opportunities for sharing and growth that no other human relationship can equal, a physical and emotional joining that has the promise of a lifetime.

*You may now all be seated*

OPENING PRAYER

Let us bow our heads in prayer.

Lord, we thank you for gathering everyone here today. We ask that you help Isaiah and Jerymiahna to remember the strong love that they share. To work that love into practical things so that nothing can divide them. May their love always inspire them to be kind in their words, considerate of the other’s feelings, and concerned for the other’s needs and wishes. Increase their faith and trust in You Lord. Bless their marriage with peace and happiness and make their Love fruitful for Your glory and their joy, both here and in eternity. Amen.

*DECLARATION OF INTENT*

Seeing that no moment is without meaning, we ask that you take this marriage as a beginning of your lives together. Today signifies the creation of a new home and a new family for you both. May you be fulfilled by each other’s love and friendship. May you be overjoyed by the promises you are about to make and the life together you will create.

May the promises you make to one another today, be lived out to the end of your lives. Tomorrow can bring you the greatest of joys, but today is the day it all begins.

Isaiah and Jerymiahna, do you, with your family and friends as your witnesses, present yourselves willingly and of your own accord to be joined in marriage?

[We do]

Will you promise to care for each other in the joys and sorrows of life, and to share the responsibility for growth and enrichment of your life together?

[We will]

VOWS

The bride and groom have chosen to write their own vows~ I now invite you both, to give your vows that each of you have prepared to the other.

Isaiah: (Gives his vows to bride)

Jerymiahna I never would've thought that in my sophomore year of high school I would've met the love of my life.

The girl who cheat off my test and still received a higher grade than me.

However that was just our first test of many in this journey together.

Our relationship has definitely experienced its trials and tribulations.

We've grown together we've helped each other grow and even when we've grown apart we always somehow come back together.

I never thought my eyes were capable of recognizing such beauty within a person.

I never imagined that my heart was capable of Loving someone with so much unconditional love.

You are my strength and my weakness.

Like a drug, I am addicted to you; you take away my pain and worries.

You are my headache, my heart in human form, you are my peace.

Jerymiahna words can't simply express how proud and appreciative I am to have you in my life and even better, call you my wife, My soulmate.

There is no doubt in my heart about our future.

I want to make memories with you, start a family with you.

YOU are my future Jerymiahna.

You are the dream that I want to Wake up to for the rest of my life.

All I ask is for a little leg room on my side of the bed.

Today we become one and As your husband, I promise to give you all of me, to protect you, care for you and Love you until the end of time.

Always & forever.

Jerymiahna: (Gives her vows to groom)

Isaiah, my love , before we get too deep I have to ask, are you sure you wanna marry me?

I know I’ve asked you this 100 plus times in the past 2 weeks, but it’s not because of you, it’s my brain.

Just the thought of marrying my high school sweetheart causes a shortage in the neurons of my entire body.

I remember our first real date, you took me to see “The Black Panther” at wolf chase mall.

Everything came so easy, the love and affection was so pure.

But even with that, I swear you get a weird kick out of pissing me off.

You know how I am about my face but yet you still like touching it with those overgrown raccoon paws.

It’s crazy , because at the age of 15, I knew you would be the only man I would truly love.

I didn’t even know what love was , then or even before you. You taught me unconditional love Isaiah.

The longer we’re together, the better of a person I become.

I’m not even sure why, but it’s been that way for as long as I can remember.

Everything is so much better with you by my side.

Without you I have a void, not just in my heart but in my spirit.

Even after 4 years of going through hell and back with you, you still make me excited when I see your face.

You can still make me laugh and smile uncontrollably .

I can stay on the phone with you for hours and not get bored. You still make me feel like a kid in the park.

You see me for who I am, and not for who I’m not.

You are truly my best friend Isaiah Pernell. We’re different in so many ways, but yet so much alike.

You’re picky when it comes to certain foods.

I’ll try just about anything.

You can sleep past sun beaming in your eyes.

I wake up at the crack of dawn no matter how much sleep I got the night before.

You’re an introvert, I can talk to anyone with any given conversation.

But that’s why I love you even more.

We balance each other out so much.

I’m more of the woman I am today because you’ve been by my side all this time.

I am so honored to be able to watch you grow into such a prosperous man.

2 weeks ago You asked me what I saw when I look into your eyes, when I look into your eyes, I see a young black man who will go to his limits to make it to where he wants to be. I see a lover, I see a protector, I see a beautiful soul, I see a future.

I stand here today and I promise you will never have to worry about me being unfaithful,

I promise to love you everyday like it’s my last, I promise to love you until I have no oxygen left in my body.

I promise to be your other half.

I promise to pick you up when you fall, or hold your hand when you can’t get up.

Through sickness and health I love you Isaiah. I love you Until the ocean has no tides, I love you until every star in the universe has faded, I love you until eternity is no more.

I love you, Forever and Always Isaiah, My Love.

EXCHANGING OF THE RINGS

May we have the rings please?

Having this love in your hearts, you have chosen to seal your vows by exchanging rings.

From the earliest times, the circle has been a sign of completeness. The rings that you have chosen to wear have neither beginning nor end, much like your love for one another. They are a symbol of the words that you speak today. May these rings be from this day forward, your most treasured adornment, and may the love they symbolize, be your most precious possession. As you wear these rings, may they be constant reminders of these promises you are making today.

Isaiah, please repeat these words after me, while placing your ring on Jerymiahna's left finger: "Jerymiahna, I have chosen you alone, no other to be by my side through life. I promise to always love you and remain faithful to you with all that I am. I give you this ring as a token of my love and trust as your husband. As I place this ring on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you, today, tomorrow and always. I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows and promises we have made here today.

Jerymiahna, please repeat these words after me, while placing your ring on Isaiah's left finger: "Isaiah, I have chosen you alone, no other to be by my side through life. I promise to always love you and remain faithful to you with all that I am. I give you this ring as a token of my love and trust as your wife. As I place this ring on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you, today, tomorrow and always. I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows and promises we have made here today.

*(Blessing of Hands and rings)*

Isaiah and Jerymiahna, please face each other and join together your left hands.

Let us pray,

'Father, we pray to you today asking for your heavenly blessings upon these rings and upon Isaiah and Jerymiahna.

As these rings encircle their fingers, may your divine and constant love forever encircle their hearts.

These tokens are merely symbols of the priceless commitment of this marriage.

May the blessings and power of the Holy Spirit be upon them, during the ups and downs of daily life.

May their wisdom grow along with their knowledge of each other’s unique character and spirit.

May there be grace in times of conflict, an ability to communicate during misunderstandings and a deep sense of belonging to each other.

May you protect them from all harm. Provide for their needs. Console them in their sorrows. Lift them with joy. Even when worn with age, may these rings forever shine as a testament to your ever present help through all seasons of life.

Lord, we pray that you continue to help this couple, to fulfill the promises they have made here today and to reflect your steadfast love in their commitment to each other. Give them kindness and patience, affection and understanding, happiness and contentment. May their family and friends continue to support them in difficult days, so that their love for each other may continue to grow as long as they both shall live. We pray in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, amen.

Unity Candle Ceremony

Jerymiahna and Isiah, from this moment forward you will never be alone. You will carry with you the love of another person, giving you a completeness and renewed lightness. May your life together be immersed in love and excitement. May you strive to enrich each other in every possible way. And may you work to bring the peace you find to this world.

I ask that you each take your a candle which represents each of you as individuals.

This candle you are about to light is a candle of Marriage.

Its fire is magical because it represents the light of two people in love.

This candle before you is a candle of Commitment because it takes two people working together to keep it aflame.

This candle is also a candle of Unity because both must come together, giving as part of themselves, to create the new light.

(Begin to light the Unity Candle)

As you light this candle today, may the brightness of the flame shine throughout your lives.

May it give you courage and reassurance in darkness; warmth and safety in the cold; and strength and joy in your bodies, minds, and spirits.

May your union be forever blessed.
