I believe every loving couple who wishes to exercise their right to enter into marriage deserves to have the wedding ceremony of their choice. Same sex couples are uniting in newly recognized marriages that I am excited to officiate. I've always questioned the teachings of organized religion and challenged the contradictions I found unnatural, unrealistic and/or threatening. I was raised in a religious household that spawned a Southern Baptist Minister as my oldest brother. I was taught to never question my elders and to respect the church. Teachings I would learn to disqualify. In my early adulthood, I came to the realization that I am able to choose my own morals and my daily actions as a caring human being would be what defined me. I believe now that every person has the right and freedoms to choose their own beliefs based upon what is important to them and to their spirituality as long as they inflict no harm onto others. I am open minded and my faith in others goes undaunted, I understand and identify with many of the trials life has handed us all. I became an ordained minister to serve couples, especially same sex couples, and to provide another option over the impersonal judge's chambers and over churches where they continue to be unwelcome. My goal is to have the couple be comfortable with their friends in a nonthreatening environment with respect to their personal beliefs or non-beliefs. I am capable of, and prepared to, research and quote scripture as well as lead the congregation in prayer when a religious ceremony is requested or required by the couple. I have no judgements on anyone's morals as I believe morals are unique to the individual. I have no preferences of type of ceremony and continue to educate myself with many beliefs and ceremonial practices so that I can confidently officiate in the preferred method of the couple. I am here with open arms and warm heart to provide you with a legal Certificate of Marriage.
