About Quentin M. Starnes

Quentin lives in Missouri and was ordained by American Marriage Ministries on January 18th, 2015.

I was raised in a Full Gospel church in a small Missouri town. Most of my family is in the ministry. My uncle is a pastor, my cousin is a travelling evangelist/prophet, my mom is a Sunday School Teacher, my dad is an Usher, another cousin is a youth group leader. I was in charge of everything behind the scenes as the leader of the Media Team. I spend several years of my youth and teenage years serving in my church. After coming out as a gay man in 2009, I was shunned by my family and in turn ran away from family, church, and God. I spent 5 years finding myself and coming to terms with what had happened, myself, and how that effected my relationship with God. What I came to realize is that God is love and I was created by him and God loves us all. My being a gay man didn't effect how God viewed me. I began to get back into church and being close to God again. In January of 2015 I decided to become an Ordained Minister at the support of my friends and how I felt God was leading me. I wanted to be able to spread the love of God to all people, be able to minster in a hospital setting, and perform weddings for my friends and others that wouldn't be able to find a minister in our conservative state of Missouri. My hope is that now, I can be the person who can help lead people to God, the God who is love and all hope.
