Been everything from a pipefitter to a prostitute, but since 1989, an RN; most recently, the night charge nurse on a chemical dependency unit. My first car was a motorcycle, and even though my parents sent me to church school, I never accepted Jesus as my personal savior until after my failed suicide at 18 and failed marriage and abortion at 26. For me, John 3:16 was nothing more than a cruel taunt: when your life sucks, why on earth would you want it to go on forever??? That was because no one shared Jeremiah 29:11 with me. I had to find that on my own. THEN, and only then, did the guarantee of the shed blood of the Lamb of God cease to be torture. So now I've forgotten more about the Bible than most people will ever know, but I recall enough to know that the Creator and Sustainer of the universe has plans to prosper me and not to harm me - plans for hope and a future.
