General Statutes of Connecticut 46b-28d

Recognition of marriages entered into at Mashantucket Pequot reservation or Mohegan reservation.

All marriages celebrated before May 27, 2016, under a tribal marriage license at the Mashantucket Pequot reservation or Mohegan reservation are recognized as a valid marriage in this state, provided the marriage is recognized under the laws of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation or the Mohegan Tribe of Indians of Connecticut and not otherwise expressly prohibited by statute in this state.
