Officiated by David Vox Mullen at Mi Fogotta in Chicago, Illinois on April 19th, 2025. Witnessed by Kay Pavell and Laura Villarreal.
"This was my first time officiating a wedding and I was absolutely honored to have been asked. The happy couple is so visibly in love, and I pray that their promise to eachother grows stronger each and every single day."
INVOCATION
Officiant to the Guests:
"Dearly beloved and honored guests, today we gather not just as witnesses, but as a community of love, family, and friendship. We stand together in this sacred moment to celebrate the union of Daniel and Eugenia."
"Marriage is one of life’s greatest gifts, a covenant not just between two people, but a bond strengthened by faith, love, and the unwavering commitment to walk life’s path together. Today, we celebrate the joining of their hearts, their families, and their faiths into one enduring union."
"Now, traditionally, this is the part where I ask if there is anyone who objects to this marriage… but let’s be honest… since Daniel is my uncle, I can literally say that I’ve known this man my entire life. So if there is anyone here who actually opposes this union… well, that’s just too damn bad! But what we do welcome in this moment is the presence of love, faith, and to ask for God’s blessing upon this union."
"Heavenly Father, we ask for Your presence here today. May You bless this marriage with love, joy, and an abundance of grace. May Daniel and Eugenia always seek kindness and patience with one another, and may their love reflect Your divine love. We ask this in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit…Amen."
DECLARATION OF INTENT
Officiant to the Couple:
"Do you Daniel take Eugenia to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, in good times and bad, forsaking all others and keeping yourself unto her for as long as you both shall live?"
"And do you Eugenia take Daniel to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, in good times and bad, forsaking all others and keeping yourself unto him for as long as you both shall live?"
"Then may your promises today be the foundation upon which you build a life filled with faith, love, and unwavering commitment to one another."
RING EXCHANGE
Officiant to the Guests:
"Throughout history, rings have been a symbol of eternity, without beginning or end. These rings represent the never-ending love that Daniel and Eugenia share, a promise that no matter what life may bring, they will always walk this journey together."
PRONOUNCEMENT
Officiant to the Guests:
“And now, by the authority vested in me by our Lord Jesus Christ, by the great state of Illinois, and most importantly, by the love that you share, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now seal this covenant with a kiss!”
BENEDICTION / CLOSING BLESSING
"May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He shine His light upon your marriage and fill your hearts with love, patience, and understanding. May your home be a place of laughter, faith, and unwavering support for one another.
Que Dios Bendiga Su Matrimonio Con Amor.. Amen."
