Ceremony on the Lowell Pavilion

The Wedding of Hayden Horine & Brianna Salinas

Officiated by Creed Alexander Horine at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona on April 25th, 2026. Witnessed by Taylor Yandell and Michael Salinas.

ABOUT THIS WEDDING

"It was a cold and cloudy day, and we were threatened with rain, but the weather held until the ceremony was done. Being the last in I did get a little bit of rain on me but as quick as the rain started it stopped. The rest of the evening had good weather for guests to enjoy for the inside reception with dancing and heated patio area. A conga line was formed at one point and the dancing spilled out into the observatory visitor areas. I Was honored to be a part of such a fabulous ceremony."

OPENING WELCOME

Good afternoon everyone.

Welcome, and thank you for being here to celebrate the joining of Hayden Horine and Bri Salinas.

We are gathered here today in a place devoted to looking outward into the universe to celebrate something much closer to home: the love between these two people.

Out of all the people on this planet—on this tiny blue dot floating in the universe—[Hayden] and [Bri] found one another and today they have chosen to intentionally and joyfully, build a life together.

Thank you all for being here to witness and support this moment.

REFLECTION ON MARRIAGE

Marriage is not simply a promise to love each other on easy days.

It is a commitment to grow together, to learn from one another, and to continue choosing each other again and again.

Like the stars above us, love can be both constant and evolving. It shines brightly during moments of joy and helps guide us through darker nights.

A strong marriage is built on patience, trust, laughter, and the courage to continue exploring life together.

Today, Hayden and Bri begin that journey.

SAND CEREMONY

(Only Time by enya will play)

[Officiant:]

To symbolize their union, Hayden and Bri will now take part in a sand ceremony.

Each container of sand represents their individual lives—their families, experiences, and the paths that brought them here.

Before the couple blends their sands together, we would like to recognize the important role their families have played in bringing them to this moment.

I invite the mothers of the bride and groom to come forward.

[Mothers walk forward.]

Parents are often our first teachers, offering support, love, and guidance that help shape who we become. Today, we honor the foundations you have helped build and the love you have given that made this union possible.

As you pour your sand into this unity vase, you symbolize the love, strength, and support that you carry forward into this marriage — a reminder that family remains a lasting part of this new beginning.

[Mothers pour sand.]

Thank you. You may return to your seats.

Hayden and Bri, please step forward.

Each of you holds sand representing your individual lives — your experiences, your dreams, and everything that has shaped you into who you are today.

As you pour your sand together, you symbolize the joining of your lives, your families, and your futures. Just as these grains of sand can no longer be separated once combined, your lives will be forever intertwined — supporting one another through moments of joy, growth, challenge, and celebration.

[Couple pours sand together.]

This blended sand represents a new story created together. One that honors the past, celebrates the present, and looks forward to the future you will build side by side.

May this unity vase always serve as a reminder that while each of you remains uniquely yourselves, together you create something stronger, richer, and enduring

[Couple returns to position.]

RING EXCHANGE

[Officiant:]

The rings you exchange today are symbols of your commitment.

They are circles—without beginning and without end—representing a love that will continue to grow throughout your lives together.

Please repeat after me.

(Hayden Horine places ring.)

“I give you this ring

as a symbol of my love,

my trust,

and my commitment.”

(Bri Salinas places ring and repeats.)

“I give you this ring

as a symbol of my love,

my trust,

and my commitment.”

PRONOUNCEMENT

[Officiant:]

By the vows you have spoken, the promises you have made, and the love you share, it is my great honor to pronounce you married.

May your lives together be filled with adventure, curiosity, and many nights looking up at the stars side by side.

You may now kiss.
