Please rise for the Bride.

Welcome. Please be seated. We are gathered here to join Cara Szafranski and Issac Wu in the spiritual union of marriage.

Thank you all for being here and to recognize how important each one of you are to their relationship.

This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.

Invocation:

"To all present I say: We are gathered here, not to witness the beginning of what will be, but rather what already is! We do not create this marriage, because we cannot. We can and do, however, celebrate with Isaac and Cara the wondrous and joyful occurrence that has already taken place in their lives, and the commitment they make today."

This beautiful couple didn't get here all by themselves. They have been loved and cared for by you, their families, and friends, depending on you for sustenance, knowledge, guidance, and love. Without you, this day would not be possible. From this day forward, they will likely need your support in different ways, but they will still depend on that support.

"With this in mind, I ask Cara’s parents and family, will you please stand? As representatives of your family: will you take this man, Isaac, into your family and into your hearts?

I ask Isaacs family, “will you please stand? As the representative of your family: will you take this woman, Cara, into your family and into your hearts?

May the blessing of their marriage extend throughout both your families forever.

Their first date was December 20, 2018. Here we are 58 months and six days later, or 1771 days, 42489 hours they stand before you all present to declare their intent.

Isaac: I choose you, Cara above all others, to be my wife. I offer this ring as a token of our love, and with it I join my life to yours.

The Proclamation:

Because Isaac and Cara have pledged their love and faith to each other, sealed their vows in the giving and receiving of rings, and having expressed their complete and pure dedication to one another before us gathered here today, it is by the authority vested in me by the State of California, I now pronounce you husband and wife. -- You should seal your commitment with a kiss.
