Welcome, dearest family and friends……

You have been gathered together today to witness the joining of two very special people, Haley Michelle Andersen and Joshua Steven Alvarado into one spiritual union. While this man and this woman exist separately in flesh, today they will be joined as 1 in spirit. Haley and Josh are honored and grateful for all of you who are here to share this momentous day with them….

Marriage is a commitment, a contract unlike any other and is not to be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep understanding of its obligations and responsibilities.

Please remember that unwavering love, loyalty, commitment and compassion are foundations of a happy and enduring home and a home in which children will thrive.

Haley and Joshua have prepared some personal words to share with each other today.

Josh and Haley, vows are promises made to sanctify your marriage, to not only solidify your union, but to bind you together and carry you through the best and worst of times. Vows are a security and comfort that no matter the challenges you face, you will endure and prevail together.

“Please join hands”

Do you, Joshua Steven Alvarado take this woman, Joshua Steven Alvarado, to be your wife? Do you promise to love her, honor her, and protect her from this day forward, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, in joy and in sorrow, forsaking all others, be faithful to her for as long as you both shall live?

Do you Haley Michelle Andersen take this man, Joshua Steven Alvarado to be your husband. Do you promise to love him, honor him and protect him, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, in joy and in sorrow, forsaking all others, be faithful to him,for as long as you both shall live?

*(Ring Ceremony)*

The exchange of rings is an emblem-a symbol of the eternal commitment of the vows spoken today.

Haley and Josh will now exchange rings as a symbol of their unfailing loyalty and enduring love for each other.

“May I have the rings, please”?

Josh, please take Haley’s hand and repeat after me…

“Haley, you are the love of my life and I adore you. Please wear this ring as a symbol of my devotion and undying love for you. With this ring, I thee wed.

Haley, please take Josh’s left hand and repeat after me…

Joshua, you are the love of my life and I adore you. Please wear this ring as a symbol of my undying love for you. With this ring, I thee wed.

I would like to close this ceremony with a a scripture from 1st Corinthians Chpt 13 which defines what love is and what love is not….

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. (NIV84)

Haley and Josh, my prayer for you and your future family is to always remember this scripture during the difficult times as well as the joyful times in your marriage. That you will choose to put love first no matter the season your marriage is in.
