ABOUT THIS WEDDING

"Steve and Danielle are two very nice young people. I had only met them once prior to the wedding, so that we could work out details beforehand. It was a hot and somewhat humid day but beautiful. The restaurant, Georgina's, is in Bolton, Connecticut, close to Hartford but very much out in the country. Service was outside in a small gazebo behind the restaurant. Bridal party processed out from the building, then over a small bridge that straddled a pond, then onto the grass to the gazebo. Multiple bridesmaids and groomsmen. Danielle's grandmother was part of the procession, which is always a nice touch. Ceremony was short and sweet, and totally secular as they requested. I used the short version from the AMM Ministers Guide and embellished it a bit just to personalize it. The entire ceremony took about ten minutes, my shortest to date. I really enjoy performing these ceremonies and although these were not relatives or friends, it still held great meaning for me. I feel like I have two new friends now."
