Jena Houchin And Dakotah Edwards’ Wedding Wedding Ceremony Script

Amy: Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,

Good afternoon and Thank you for coming today. We are gathered here together to join Jena Houchin and Dakotah Edwards in the union of marriage.

Amy to ask:

Who gives this woman to be married to this man today?

*Father to sit*

Dakotah and Jena, because of your love and faith in each other, today your lives will have a new beginning. Every experience you have ever had, everything you have ever done, and everything you have ever learned has brought you to this moment, when you stand before family and friends to take each other as husband and wife. You each bring your individual strengths and weaknesses, hopes and fears to this marriage, but as you confront the future as a married couple, may you complement each other, support and strengthen one another. May you grow together in love and trust sharing your dreams your adventures, your quiet times through all the years of your married life.

To Jena:

Do you Jena, take Dakotah to be your wedded husband, to share your life with him openly and honestly from this day forward? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and cherish him, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, in joy, and in sorrow, and be true and loyal to him as long as you both shall live?

*(Wait for Confirmation)*

To Dakotah:

Do you Dakotah, take Jena to be your wedded wife, to share your life with her openly and honestly from this day forward? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and cherish her for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, in joy, and in sorrow, and be true and loyal to her as long as you both shall live?

*(Wait for Confirmation)*

*(Vows)*

Amy: Jena and Dakotah have chosen their vows for one another, Please join hands and repeat after me:

I Jena, take you Dakotah as my beloved husband. I promise to love and respect always, and to be a patient wife, honest and trusting. I promise to walk by your side through life as your best friend, your sweetheart, your helpmate, in good times and in bad, and to work hard at keeping our marriage healthy. I promise that my love will stay true and strong for all time, even as we grow old together.

I Dakotah, take you Jena as my beloved Wife. I promise to love and respect always, and to be a patient husband, honest and trusting. I promise to walk by your side through life as your best friend, your sweetheart, your helpmate, in good times and in bad, and to work hard at keeping our marriage healthy. I promise that my love will stay true and strong for all time, even as we grow old together.

Jena and Dakotah will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment.

*(Ring Exchange)*

Jena, place this ring on Dakotah's left hand and repeat after me:

I offer this ring as a symbol of my love and commitment to you. Wear it always as a reminder, to you and to the world, that I have chosen you above all other men, and that, from this day forward, you are my husband.
