Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,
We are gathered together here to join Sue and Keith in the spiritual union of marriage.
This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.
Who gives this bride today?
If there is anyone, animal or bird that believe this couple should not be married please, tweet, squawk or speak now... Good I was hoping nothing was going to happen!!
Marriage is an ancient human tradition, and standing here in front of family and God we celebrate this beautiful union.
The Bible says in Corinthians - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not boast. It does not envy. It is not proud it is not rude. It is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, nor delight in evil, but does rejoice in the truth. Love always protects, trusts, hopes and preserves... LOVE NEVER FAILS.. and Sue and Keith remember that through the coming years that you spend together, to always put LOVE first, and when you do, you actually put GOD first because he is LOVE.
Sue and Keith met online, most people think that is not a way that will last, but if the name of the restaurant of their first date is any clue, this was a meeting meant to be.. THE MELTING POT.. I mean what more do you need??? Happiness is important in this couples life and doing for each other is first and foremost in their minds. Always keep in mind that marriage not 50/50, rather it is 100/100 and sometimes a little more and as long as you keep family first above all else, we look forward to seeing the pictures of your travel and joys that you will both encounter in your next 50 or more years together.
Joy is knowing that your family loves the one your with and will build a relationship with them, because you don't only marry each other, you marry the family. So continuously say "I love you" to each other every day and let you children know that too, because love is the healing we all need.
Sue and Keith will now share their vows.
Do you Sue take this man Keith to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and bad, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto him for as long as you both shall live?
Do you Keith take this woman Sue to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and bad, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto her for as long as you both shall live?
Who has the rings??
As you both exchange rings I want all to know that the
Wedding rings symbolize the never-ending love you two share. By exchanging these rings, you solidify a lifelong commitment to one another. The rings serve as a welcome and constant reminder of the bond you've formed with your partner.
Please repeat after me:
I, SUE, give you KEITH this ring as a symbol of my enduring love. Just as the circle of the ring completes itself, so you complete me.
I, KEITH, give you SUE this ring as a symbol of my enduring love. Just as the circle of the ring completes itself, so you complete me.
By the authority vested in me by American Marriage Ministries, Universal Life Church and the State of Michigan I now pronounce you wife and husband!
