PROCESSION
Please be seated. I am Jessica Diaz-Monkres and I will be the officiant for today’s ceremony.
INVOCATION
Welcome family and friends. We are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the marriage of Zoe and Micah. We are not here to mark the start of a relationship however; we are here to recognize a bond that already exists.
Imagine these two in a play ground over 12 years ago. And Micah not wanting to play with Zoe so Zoe takes a bite out of him.
Well Micah, you have been bitten again.
And this time it's FOREVER!
ANNECDOTE
Today is a celebration. A celebration of love, of commitment, of friendship, of family, and of two people who are in it for, well FOREVER!
Zoe and Micah hope that they can mark their transition to husband and wife not only by celebrating the love between themselves, but by also celebrating the love between all of us – Including the love of their parents, siblings, extended family and friends. Without that love, today would be far less joyous. Thank you all for being here.
Many people help make us who we are and we want to recognize the passing of those who loved us unconditionally.
Now we would like to take a moment of silence for the loved ones that are no longer with us.
"Nana" Janet Armstrong and our precious baby watching over us Rain Armstrong.
DECLARATION OF INTENT (I DO)
MICAH: do you take Zoe to be your Wife? ("I do")
Do you promise to love, honor, cherish and protect her, forsaking all others and holding only unto her for as long as you both shall live? ("I do")
ZOE: do you take Micah to be your Husband? ("I do")
Do you promise to love, honor, cherish and protect him, forsaking all others and holding only unto him for as long as you both shall live? ("I do")
VOWS
So today, Zoe and Micah have written their own vows. Zoe you can begin.
Micah you can now share your vows with Zoe.
(RING EXCHANGE)
Rings are a precious metal; they are also made precious by us wearing them. Your wedding rings are special they enhance who you are. They mark the beginning of your long journey together. Your wedding ring is a circle a symbol of love never ending. It is the seal of the vows you have just taken to love each other without end.
Micah, please place the ring on Zoe's left hand and repeat after me:
As a sign of my love - that I have chosen you above all else - with this ring I thee wed.
Zoe, please place the ring on Micha's left hand and repeat after me:
As a sign of my love - that I have chosen you above all else - with this ring I thee wed.
