Officiated by David John Pettinicchi in Connecticut on October 6th, 2017.
"This was my first wedding and the experience was awesome. I prepared and practiced wording, etc. for a few days before the wedding. The ceremony went off without a hitch and I can't wait to do my next one!!!! February 2021 Update: It's two and a half years later, and I'm once again looking at these narratives. I can't believe I only wrote a couple of sentences about my very first wedding as an officiant. Kylie is my dearly departed cousin Jim's daughter, and Tyler has been part of the family since they were teens. My 80+ year old aunt (Kylie's grandmother) was front and center, as were my wife, all of my cousins, my siblings with their spouses, and various other family members, so it was a special day for all of us. The ceremony was partially religious, with a reading done by Kylie's aunt and uncle. I closed with the Irish Blessing. I also subsequently found that Kylie had a small box of her father's ashes embedded in her bridal bouquet...another nice touch. The venue was the old Avon Old Farms Inn and the ceremony was held outside under an arbor. I did make one mistake however...I forgot to tell everyone to be seated after the processional, a mistake I will not make again!!! Fortunately, the ceremony was short. After the ceremony, the DJ/sound people commented positively on my performance and were surprised that it was my first wedding!!! They have subsequently referred me for two other weddings, both of which are outlined on the website. "
