Officiated by David Ronald Pritzker at White House in Washington, DC on August 12th, 2017.
"I am not a fan of public speaking and yet for my son, I performed the ceremony outside and in front of the White House. I thought it went well, although scared and intimidated by the vast public watching I completed the wedding without passing out. My son and his partner were married and started their life together. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to officiate this wedding as an ordained minister. "

I am here today humbled by the honor of being able to join Eric to Rondale in marriage.
Eric is our son and an amazing young man. His determination, honesty, and love for life are obvious and open. Rondale is a fantastic young man who has become part of our lives. These two fell in love and are here to announce that love and celebrate that love with all of us by joining in marriage. I always tell my children that the right person for you is the one that helps you become better, that encourages you and keeps you grounded, one that balances you and supports bringing out your best. You, of course, must do the same for them – never is it one-sided.
I feel it is important to mention the symbol the rings represent. Many will say that the circle is the never-ending cycle of love you have for each other, while there are those that will tell you that it is an outward symbol of the commitment you have declared here today. These are all true and romantic, yet also remember that in today’s world, where it is easier to divorce than it is to marry, that the ring is a reminder – every day that you are indeed married. That you must, in all decisions, consider this partner that you have vowed forever with. A job is only 20 or so years, friends will eventually let you down and leave, yet this is the person that you have chosen “Life” with. This ring does not choke the life from you – it encircles you both so that you always know that there is someone on your side – no matter what. When you look at the ring, which you should do daily, know that there is someone that also wears a ring for you. You will grow together, accepting each other’s differences as these differences enhance who you are and help you grow farther than you could alone. The ring is not just a symbol and commitment it is a representation of your partner who is always with you, cheering you on, helping you achieve your dreams, and balancing your dark side with light.
Of course, Love is what brought these two together and Love will keep them together, I think the Carpenters sang that? What can I tell you of Love? Love is such a strong emotion that many often deny it or fall into it all the time. But, it is safe to say that all search for love. Love will have you do crazy things (like proclaiming your love from a mountain for the world to hear – unashamed) and love will guide you through difficult times. The greatest love is that of God and Jesus to us. You can always depend on God’s love through Jesus. He will always be there to guide you, fortify you, help you to get through the hardest times and be there at your weakest moments. He will stand by you when you achieve greatness, cheering you on and helping you make the tough choices. Does this sound like your spouse and partner? If so then you have a love that will last.
It is my understanding that both Eric and Rondale wish to say a few words.
Eric? …….. Rondale? ……..
Eric – Do you promise to honor, support, respect, and trust vowing to believe in, encourage, to be there for, and defend Rondale from this day forward, in sickness and health, for richer or poorer, until death do you part? Eric responds: Yes

What God has brought together – let no man tear apart.
