Jennifer Michelle Yeamans and John Perez Trigo Jr's Wedding

Procession

Jennifer walks in escorted by her father.

Invocation

We are gathered here today to show our support, to encourage, and to celebrate the covenant that these two people are making with one another. The marriage they are creating has roots in themselves, and also in the love, friendship and guidance that each of us has offered them throughout the years.

Who gives this woman to be wed? (father answers)

John and Jennifer have asked us to be here with them today, because we are their community of loved ones.

Let us rejoice in the way life has led them to one another and brought them to this place where we now stand. Sometimes in the midst of living an ordinary life, love comes along and gives us a fairy-tale, who knew that years of friendship would one day bloom into wondrous and undeniable love.

Declaration Of Intent

John and Jennifer, have you both come here freely and without reservation, prepared to give yourselves to each other in marriage?

If so, answer by saying "We have".

If there is anyone present that knows of any just cause that these two shouldnot be joined in marriage, speak now or forever hold your tongue.

Prayer

Let us pray...Dear Heavenly Father, we ask you to bless John and Jennifer as they pledge themselves to one another becoming husband and wife. Place your loving hands on them and guide them through each and every day. Bless them, their future children and their home with peace, understanding, harmony, and love. Let us be ever thankful for Amazing Grace. In Jesus name, Amen.

Reading

Marriage is a union of two people founded upon mutual respect and affection. Your lives will change; your responsibilities will increase and your joy will be multiplied.

As such, marriage should not be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and seriously with deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. It is the clasping of two hands, the blending of two hearts, the union of two lives into one and your marriage must stand not by the authority of the state nor the seal on your marriage certificate but by the power of God's love, faith, loyalty, and understanding which are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.

Today, you will take your place, as husband and wife.

Today, you have chosen to become one and it is the beginning of the rest of your lives.

Only the two of you can create a happy marriage;
Through love and patience, dedication and perseverance, by talking, LISTENING, helping, supporting and believing in each other.

Marriage is a precious gift, a life long commitment, and a challenge to never let the sun on misunderstanding or anger but instead to strive to love one another more completly each and every day.

A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.
